Space Force Visits Huntsville! On 19 August USSF Col Niki Lindhorst, Commander of Space Force Delta 13, and Chief Master Sergeant Esther Sanford, senior enlisted advisor for Space Force Delta 13 (the Education delta), visited Huntsville High School and their AFJROTC unit. She met with the Huntsville City Schools School Board and Superintendent Christie Finley first thing in the morning and was presented a cadet-created, cadet-led Mission Brief by the Command Staff of AL-941. Russell County High School ARMY JROTC JLAB Leadership Nationals Competition – Washington DC

Russell County had a great experience this summer in Washington DC participating in the annual National Competition July 19-23, 2021. Out of the 3100 programs nationally 40 were selected to compete in person for the national event. The Russell Country Team consisted of White, Alexis Hopkins, Devin Neal, and Victoria Villanueva). The competition included team and individual tasks, including out of the box thinking, Leadership Reaction Courses, Leadership in US History, and problem solving. WP Davidson High NJROTC hosted former SY 2018-19 NJROTC Commanding Officer Qualin WESTBROOK as the February 2021 CTE Month guest speaker for 156 in - class & virtual NJROTC cadets. Airman WESTBROOK talked about his Navy Boot Camp experience and his current training as an aviation electronics mechanic at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola Florida. Outstanding Cadet of the Year Named for the Alabama Society

Central High School, Tuscaloosa, Alabama Cadet Major Emia Sesson was named the Outstanding Cadet of the Year for the Alabama Society, Sons of the American Revolution for SY 2020-21. Cadet Sesson received the SAR Silver Outstanding Cadet Medal, certificate, and $750. Cadet Sesson also received the Bronze Award and $100 from the Black Warrior River Chapter in Tuscaloosa. Cadet Sesson will now represent Alabama at the national level in July 2021. Cadet Johana Garcia To Enlist In The Navy!

Central High School NJROTC Red Devil Battalion is proud to announce Johana Garcia is the first cadet in the class of 2021 to enlist in the Navy! Cadet Garcia holds a NJROTC certificate and will graduate boot camp as an E-3 and she was awarded a $2,000 bonus upon signing her enlistment contract. Upon successful completion of her inventory physical fitness test at boot camp she will receive a second $2,000 bonus. Johana has signed her contract to serve as a Logistics Specialist. Cadet Charles Fields Enlists In The National Guard

The Central High School NJROTC Red Devil Battalion is proud to announce Cadet Charles Fields enlisted in the National Guard as a Human Resources Specialist. After completing boot camp Cadet Fields will be promoted to the enlisted grade of E-3, receive a $20,000 bonus, attend Airborne school and will be assigned to the 20th Special Forces unit in Gadsden Alabama. Cadet Battalion Commander Christopher Snipes Enlists In The Army Reserves.

The Central High School NJROTC Red Devil Battalion is proud to congratulate Cadet Battalion Commander Christopher Snipes on his enlistment in the Army Reserves. Cadet Snipes used his NJROTC credential to enlist as an E-3 and he was awarded a $20,000 signing bonus.  In addition he received a $200 GI Bill kicker and will receive $50,000 to pay off his student loan while he attends college at Auburn University. Cadet Snipes enlisted for 6 years, will serve as a Technical Engineer, and ships off to boot camp July 13, 2021 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. [...]
